Wildlife Parks and Aquarium

The photo of the title was taken at Ueno Zoo. Now panda twins born in 2021 live there. There are many wildlife parks all over Japan. For example, in the northernmost prefecture, Hokkaido, Asahiyama zoological park attracts animal lovers from all over the world. In or around Tokyo, I would like to recommend some facilities.

Safari style Lion Park
Visitors boarding lion bus enjoy the view.
A close-up lion
Lion bus started operation in 1964, which is the first safari style viewing in the world.
Savanna-like display
Visitors are separated from a large savanna-like land with moats with no barrier of sight.
Rare species
The sleeping lion is native to India.
Good boy, or girl
It's hot in Tokyo.
Good job!

Tama zoological park in Tokyo has an attraction of Lion Bus. Tama zoo is the largest one in Japan. Zoorasia in Yokohama is characterized by "no barrier display". Both zoological parks are good for a picnic for families. Shinagawa Aquarium is easily accessible because of its location in the middle of Tokyo.
