I went to the seaside in Miura Peninsula 80km southwest of the downtown of Tokyo. The name of the area is Jyougashima. The neighborhood is well known for the fish port boasting one of the largest tuna catch in Japan. On the sign of the nearby train station , we see a tuna illustrated and an interesting play on words. 

That station is Misakiguchi(三崎口) at the gateway of the seaside. 駅 is station in Japanese. Misaki is the name of the cape. Guchi means the gateway. Why we see a play on words on the sign ? The seaside is well known for the fish port, particularlly for tuna catch. Guchi(口）in Japanese writing is also phonetically read Ro in kana character. Tuna is Maguro(マグロorまぐろ) in Japanese. You see 口 colored red and at the upper left of it 2 small letters マグ are seen. マグロ is tuna in Japanese. Furthermore, on the lower part of the sign, the name of the station is written みさきまぐろえき in kana character. まぐろ is also マグロ in kana character. えき is station. Do you understand why the sign of the station is funny ? 
By the way, in Japanese writing system, there are phonetic symbols, two types of kana characters, hiragana and katakana. In addition to that, complex kanji characters. The number of kanji elementary school children in Japan have to learn is about 1,000.
